5.1 SOFTWARE LICENSE TRANSFER (AUTOMATIC)

This method is the simplest and is done through the MDT program itself.

1. Start the transfer from MDT: On the PC where the license is currently installed, access the MDT menu and select Utilities > Transfer License.

2. Choose the time of the transfer: A window will appear where you can choose when to make the transfer. The transfer will be executed when the CAD is closed. You have the option to close the CAD immediately or postpone the transfer until you decide to close the CAD session.

3. Authentication: Enter your Aplitop website username and password in the window that appears and click Transfer.

4. Confirmation and code: In a few seconds, a confirmation of the transfer will appear with a code. This code will also be sent to you by email.

5. Install on the new PC: To reinstall the license on the new computer, open the MDT program on the target computer. If no licenses are found, an activation dialog will appear. Enter your username and password from the Aplitop website, select the option Transferred license and paste the code received in the Code field. Finally, press Activate and the software license will be installed on the computer.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

An Internet connection is required to transfer the license (AUTOMATIC method).

Network requirement: in addition to the Internet connection, both computers —the one releasing the license and the one receiving it— must be able to connect to Aplitop's license server https://licenses.aplitop.com on port 443 (TCP/HTTPS).

This connection is essential both to transfer a standalone (single-seat) license (LDK software key) and to register or activate it for the first time.

The domain, Active Directory policies (GPO), the perimeter or local firewall, the proxy server and any SSL inspection systems must explicitly allow this outbound connection on every computer involved.

This requirement does not apply to network licenses managed by a license server. If your IT department cannot authorize this outbound connection, use the manual transfer described in 5.2 SOFTWARE LICENSE TRANSFER (MANUAL) - MDT25.
