6.1 Automatic software license transfer

Follow these steps to automatically transfer the license from one of your computers to another.

NETWORK REQUIREMENT FOR THE AUTOMATIC TRANSFER

In addition to having an Internet connection, both computers —the one releasing the license and the one receiving it— must be able to connect to Aplitop's license server https://licenses.aplitop.com on port 443 (TCP/HTTPS).

This connection is essential both to transfer a standalone (single-seat) license (LDK software key) and to register or activate it for the first time.

The domain, Active Directory policies (GPO), the perimeter or local firewall, the proxy server and any SSL inspection systems must explicitly allow this outbound connection on every computer involved. Full technical details are available in Network requirements to activate or transfer a license.

This requirement does not apply to network licenses managed by a license server. If your IT department cannot authorize this outbound connection, use the manual method described in 6.2 Manual software license transfer - PCE.

On the PC where you currently have the license:
Launch the application and select Home > About. In the dialog box, under the license information, click the button: "TRANSFER LICENSE".

A notification will appear stating that the process will begin when the application is closed. Close the dialog box and close the application..

When the application closes, this dialog box will appear:

Enter the username and password for the Aplitop account:

a. If you do not have an account: open a ticket using the support form, selecting the WEB product.

b. If you have an account but cannot remember your password: click on "Forgot my password". Complete the form and a link will be sent to you to reset your password.

Finally, a dialogue box will appear with the new license activation code (it will also be sent to your email address).

2) On the PC to which you wish to transfer the license:

Run the application. As there is no licencs on the device, it will display the activation dialog box:

For username and password, use those from the previous step. Select the "License transferred" option. Under Code, copy the code you obtained in the previous process.

Press Activate. In a few seconds, when the process is complete, the application will start automatically and the license will be activated on the device.
