4.2 LDK NETWORK LICENSES (HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE)

This method is for network licenses purchased with software keys or hardware keys after September 2023.

ON THE LICENSE SERVER PC:

• Copy the attachment haspdinst_2138536.exe file into the mail ZIP to the desktop that will function as a license server.

  • This file is also located in C:\Program Files(x86)\Aplitop\MDT25\Driver

• In a shell window (recommended with administrative permissions), run the Navigate to the path where you copied the file and run it like this: haspdinst_2138536.exe -i (with the -i parameter)

• Once installed, proceed to connect the USB key (if it is hardware) or install the software license. To install the software license, you must follow the automatic activation steps, online or offline, as described in this manual on page 7, performing it on the computer that will act as the license server.

ON CLIENT PCS (ONCE MDT IS INSTALLED):

• As with previous licenses, you usually do not need to specify the server computer, as the search is performed automatically on the local network.

• If it does not find it or the server PC is located on another subnet or office, VPN, etc., it may be necessary to manually enter the IP of the server on the clients. To do this:

  • Open a web browser and access the URL http://localhost:1947.

  • From there, go to Settings > Remote License Manager Access. In the Remote License Lookup Settings text box, you can enter the server name or IP address to configure access to the network license.

  • Save your changes with the Submit button

Client PC Configuration:

This sets the server for all users on the computer.

Alternatively, you can run the MDT25_SERVIDOR command in CAD and specify the IP address of the license server, but this will only work for the current user.
