USB hardware keyed network license pre 2023 - MDT25

4.1 USB HARDWARE KEYED NETWORK LICENSE (PRE-2023)

This method applies if your network license uses a USB hardware key issued before September 2023.

ON THE LICENSE SERVER PC:

• Allow firewall traffic through UDP port 6001.

• Install the Sentinel driver. You can find the driver installer in the Driver folder of the MDT installation, which is located by default at C:\Program Files (x86)\Aplitop\MDTx\Driver
  The installer is named setup.exe. Copy this file to the server and run it.

• Connect the USB dongle to any available USB port on the server.

• Restart the computer with the USB dongle connected.

ON THE CLIENT PCs (WHERE MDT WILL RUN):

• Allow firewall traffic through UDP port 6001.

• Normally, it is not necessary to specify the license server manually, as MDT automatically searches for it on the local network. However, if the license server is located on a different subnet, you must configure it manually on each client. To do so:

  • At the CAD command line, type MDT25_SERVIDOR and press Enter.

  • In the window that appears, select Fixed Server and enter either the server computer name or its IP address.
