What is the difference between working in a Local System or a Projected one?

Local System: Used when you do not wish to apply any scale factor or projection parameters to the coordinates, treating them as plane coordinates in a reduced work environment.

Projected System: Used to orient the work within a global coordinate system (such as UTM) and allow precise connection with other official cartographies or external projects.
