Is it possible to perform volume calculations using cross-section information?
Yes, the software includes a specific function to calculate Volumes by Cross-Section Differences. This method compares two cross-section files (format .tra), typically corresponding to a previous terrain state and a current or project state.
During the calculation, parameters such as topsoil thickness, initial cut/fill volumes, and swelling or compaction factors can be defined. The system generates a detailed report with the areas and volumes calculated between the selected PK stations.
