How do I apply an offset to a local system?
To apply an offset to an existing Local System in TcpGPS, use the Situar function, which allows you to correct discrepancies between the current coordinates of the Standing Station and the corresponding project coordinates.
The steps to perform this adjustment are detailed below:
Access and Configuration
Access path: Go to the main menu and select Menu > Local System > Situar.
Selecting the origin: In the dialog box that appears, you must define the origin of the offset. You can obtain the current position of the GNSS receiver by pressing the GPS button or choose a point directly from the project's POINT REPORT.
Display on map: Once the pair of points defining the offset is accepted, the origin point will appear marked on the map with a green cross.
Calculation and Application
Multiple points: You can add as many point pairs as desired. If you use more than one, the application will calculate the final offsets based on the average of all entered pairs.
Editing: If you need to remove any point pair from the calculation, select it in the list in the numerical section and press the trash can icon.
Save changes: To activate the offset, press the confirmation icon (the "check"). This will save the calculated values for the X, Y, and Z axes in the project.
Effect and Viewing
Field results: Once applied, these offsets will affect all points captured from that moment onward.
Data viewing: To verify the currently applied offsets, you can swipe left on the bottom information panel on the Main Alignment screen. These parameters (dX, dY, dZ) can also be viewed in the local system information table within the PROJECT PROPERTIES.
