How can I customize color palettes in maps?
To customize color palettes in TcpMDT maps, you must use the specific configuration dialogs that appear when generating elevation or slope maps.
The steps and available options are detailed below:
Accessing customization
When executing commands such as Draw Elevation Map or Draw Slope Map, you will find specific buttons to manage colors:
In the Elevation Map, you must press the Color Palette button.
In the Slope Map, there are buttons to configure Negative Slope Colors and Positive Slope Colors separately.
Edition options in the palette dialog
Once inside the palette configuration dialog, you can perform the following actions:
View and edit intervals: A list is displayed with the ranges (of elevations or percentages) and the color assigned to each, which can be edited.
Define the number of intervals: You can specify how many color intervals you wish to create; the program will recalculate the rest based on the minimum and maximum values.
Invert Colors: Allows you to reverse the order of the color settings established in the current palette.
Customize descriptions: A user-defined description can be associated with each interval.
Managing palette files (.plm)
To facilitate work with different projects, the system allows you to save and retrieve your configurations:
Save: You can save the entire configuration of intervals, colors, and descriptions to an external file with the extension .plm.
Load: Allows you to retrieve a previously saved palette configuration to apply it to the current map.
Additionally, the program stores default parameters in data files (such as ColoresAlturas.dat, ColoresPendientes.dat, or Paletas.dat) located in the installation's configuration folder.
