How can the elements of an already created alignment be edited?

Updated on tcpMDT Leer en español

There are several editing tools:

  • Edit Vertex: Allows you to modify the radius or parameters in a specific element.

  • Adapt to Line: removes a curve, and the associated clothoids, creating a singular point between two consecutive straight sections.

  • Adapt to Curve: using this option we can fit a circular curve between two consecutive straight elements.

  • Adapt to Clothoid: allows you to include a sequence of input clothoid, circular curve, and output clothoid between two consecutive straight elements.

  • Invert Alignment: Changes the starting direction of the alignment, recalculating the Stations and azimuths in the opposite direction.

  • Move Stations: Allows you to set a new Initial Station for the entire alignment.

  • Trim Alignment: allows you to shorten the length of an alignment, removing elements that are not necessary for the calculations to be performed.

  • Calculate Elements: allows you to make modifications to an alignment using concepts of fixed, mobile, coupled, or rotating elements.
