What is "Alignments Dimension"?

Updated on tcpMDT Leer en español

Alignments dimension is the process of labeling marks and texts following standardized criteria. It allows you to draw:

  • Short and long marks: At configurable intervals (e.g., every 10m and 100m).

  • Critical Sections: Marks at the vertices indicating radii and parameters.

  • Specific PKs: Dimensioning of kilometer points that are of particular interest to the user.

Furthermore, dimensioning makes it easier to designate the alignment in MDT commands. It is not necessary to select the polyline representing the alignment; you can select any line or text from the dimensioning.

There is also the possibility of deleting the dimensioning of an alignment, in case a simpler drawing is needed.
