How is a mesh (DEM) created and what parameters are fundamental?
To generate a mesh, the Create Grid command is used, which processes the active Point Clouds. It is important to note that this process automatically ignores all points belonging to classes marked as "non-triangulable" (such as vegetation or noise), ensuring that the Model faithfully represents the Terrain if configured accordingly.
Key Parameters include the cell size, which determines the resolution of the Model, and the option to Interpolate Elevations in Zones where there are no points. Additionally, the user can define exclusion Zones using closed Boundaries to prevent mesh generation in unwanted areas, such as the interior of Buildings or water bodies.
