Support
What does the Professional license version offer?
The Professional version (also referred to as Advanced in some comparisons) of TcpGPS offers all the capabilities of the Basic version and incorporates advanced tools for engineering projects, linear works, digital model management, and BIM environments.
Below are the exclusive features of this license:
Roads and Linear Works
This version is designed to work with complex infrastructure projects:
Axis management: Supports the import and visualization of axes on ground plan and elevation, as well as longitudinal profiles and cross-sections.
Supported formats: Allows working with native TcpMDT files, LandXML, and the IFC 4.3 standard for linear works.
Specialized setting out: Offers SETTING OUT MODES by PK (Kilometric Point) and Offset, or by PK and vertex code (such as curbs or shoulders).
Slope control: Allows real-time analysis of the terrain status relative to the theoretical section of the project.
Surface Management and Digital Modeling
Allows exhaustive control of the terrain relief:
Model creation: Includes triangulation tools to generate Digital Terrain Models (MDT) Calculate from points taken in the field, allowing the use of breaklines for greater precision.
Surface analysis: Continuously compares the elevation measured by GPS with the theoretical elevation of a loaded surface (DXF, LandXML, or IFC), displaying the height difference on screen.
Analysis tools: Allows generating Complete (Lines):, performing quick Profiles on the model, and executing volume calculations for Manual thickness (cut and fill).
BIM Issue Control (BCF)
The Professional version facilitates collaboration in digital projects through:
BCF Files: Allows adding, editing, and APPLY issues directly on the terrain using the BIM Collaboration Format (BCF) standard.
Data exchange: It is possible to import and export these issue files for review in office software.
Advanced Setting Out and Geometry Tools
In addition to the basic modes, it includes:
Polyline setting out: Allows setting out on linear Objects defined in DXF, SHP, GML, or KML cartographies.
Geometric calculations: Incorporates the ability to calculate and intersect geometric Details such as lines and circles to generate new work points.
In summary, while the Basic version focuses on standard Survey and setting out, the Professional version is aimed at users who require road design, three-dimensional analysis, and BIM workflows in the field.
