I have cross-sections in the drawing created by other software, is it possible to read them automatically?

Yes, it is possible to read them using the Convert Cross-Sections from Drawing command, which offers a specific option to process cross-sections created with other software in automatic mode.

For this process to work automatically, it is necessary to configure the following parameters in the program dialog:

  • Identification by Layers: You must indicate the drawing layers where the main elements are located: the Stockpile Selection, the P.K. text, the elevation text, and the line or polyline representing the Main Alignment.

  • Text Prefixes: It is necessary to specify the texts preceding the numerical values, such as "P.K.=" or "Zt=", so that the software can extract the information correctly.

  • Elevation Reference: The user must define how the elevation text is associated with the alignment position, either via the terrain/alignment intersection or by referencing it to a Fixed point (top, middle, or bottom vertex of the alignment).

  • Additional Options: The command allows you to indicate if the PK and elevation appear in the same text entity and apply a Vertical Factor in case the elevation scale is exaggerated in the original drawing.

Once the configuration is validated, the program will request a name for the new Cross-sections file (.TRA) where all data resulting from the conversion will be saved.
