I have several cross-section files for different terrain states; I need to display them simultaneously

Updated on tcpMDT Leer en español

To simultaneously display several cross-section files corresponding to different terrain states in TcpMDT, you have several specific tools available depending on your objective:

  1. Command "Draw Multiple Cross-Sections"

This is the ideal tool for visualizing the evolution of Manual thickness, as it allows graphical comparison of different cross-section files corresponding to different stages of the project.

  • Procedure: When executing the command, the program successively requests each of the cross-section files you wish to WATCH. Once all are selected, a review Window opens where the superimposed CROSS SECTIONS can be seen at each Initial Station.

  • Representation: After review, you access the standard DRAW dialog, where a matrix of CROSS SECTIONS will be generated with all Terrain states represented simultaneously.

  1. "Terrain" Option in Standard DRAW

Within the general DRAW CROSS SECTIONS command (whether for Stockpile Selection or a segment), you can APPLY the representation of multiple FILES at the same time.

  • Customization: This option allows adding all necessary Cross-sections, customizing the color, File, and line type for each one.

  • Visualization: All CROSS SECTIONS will be DRAWN under a single comparison plane in each section of the matrix.

Interactive Review

If you only wish to perform a quick inspection in the editor, the Check Long Section command allows working with multiple cross-section FILES open simultaneously.

  • Navigation: You can move through the Initial Stations and see how the different states overlap.

  • Cut preview: The viewer allows you to Configure the representation of Next and previous cuts relative to the current one (up to 3 in each direction) with a predefined color scheme (red, blue, yellow, etc.) to facilitate visual comparison of the Terrain
