From which elements can a longitudinal profile be obtained?
TcpMDT offers multiple sources to generate a profile:
Digital Model or Mesh: By projecting the axis onto the existing surface.
Point Regression: Useful when there is no surface; elevations are assigned from points near the axis within a "regression band".
3D Polylines: By directly converting the geometry and elevations of a polyline into a profile.
Cross Sections: By transforming the axis elevation of each cross section into a point on the longitudinal profile.
Segments: By extracting longitudinal profiles from the grade, subgrade, or natural terrain of a defined roadway.
