How can I draw the overlap distances in the profile drawing?
To draw the overlap distances on a longitudinal profile, TcpMDT uses a two-stage process: first the sheets are defined on the horizontal alignment and then their representation is activated when drawing the profile.
Here are the detailed steps:
Definition of the sheets on the ground plan
Before generating the profile, you must delimit which areas of the mapping will be displayed. To do this, use the command Profiles > Draw > Draw Overlap Distances. This command allows you to:
Select the format: You must choose the Paper Size (for example, A3, A1) and the horizontal and vertical scales.
Configure the overlap: You can specify an Overlap Distance between successive sheets to ensure visual continuity.
Adjust the occupancy: The Occupancy value indicates the height that the mapping band will have within the profile sheet.
Representation layer: Designate the layer where the sheet frames will be created on the ground plan.
Activation in the profile drawing
Once the sheets are defined on the ground plan, proceed to draw the profile (either using Draw Simple Long Section or Compound). In the drawing dialog, configure the following:
Select sheet format: The mapping option is only available if the drawing is performed in a specific paper format (not in "Continuous" mode).
Activate Mapping: Check the Draw box within the Mapping section.
Drawing Mode: Select the Overlap Distances option. By doing so, the program will automatically project the content of the sheets previously defined on the ground plan onto the profile drawing.
