How does tcp PointCloud Editor help monitor infrastructure and road works?
Tcp PointCloud Editor facilitates the geometric and technical control of infrastructures through advanced tools for managing massive point clouds captured with mobile SLAM or LiDAR systems. The program allows defining or importing the road alignment to automatically generate profiles and cross-sections along the entire route, facilitating comparison between the current state of the work and the theoretical design model.
To ensure total interoperability in civil engineering and BIM environments, the software features specific commands to import and export alignments and surfaces using the LandXML standard. Likewise, it allows Export to IFC, supporting versions specifically oriented towards infrastructures to integrate terrain models and alignments into collaborative workflows.
Integration with other Aplitop solutions is direct, allowing seamless data exchange with TcpMDT. Users can import and export meshes and surfaces in the native formats of this platform, such as MDE, MLL and SUP, ensuring that digital models generated from point clouds can be used immediately for road design and the calculation of linear works.
Regarding Platform Elevation analysis, the system allows precise calculations of volumes by model difference or through the comparison of cross-sections. This capability is fundamental for monitoring the progress of excavations and fills, allowing site managers to detect metric deviations from the original project through rigorous visual and quantitative inspection.
