What workflow does tcp PointCloud Editor offer for drone data?
Tcp PointCloud Editor is an advanced tool designed to view and process Point Clouds generated through photogrammetry or LiDAR mounted on drones. The system allows importing standard formats such as LAS and LAZ to transform this raw data into digital models and precise technical deliverables.
To maximize productivity in surveying and civil engineering projects with drones, the software stands out in the following areas:
AI Classification for Outdoors: uses Artificial Intelligence models specifically trained to automatically identify and separate terrain from Buildings, tall vegetation, vehicles, and urban furniture.
Selection by CSF: the Cloth Simulation Filter algorithm simulates the behavior of a cloth over the inverted cloud to extract the ground surface extremely efficiently, even in environments with complex relief or dense vegetation.
Volume Calculation: allows determining Platform Elevation by comparing models (for example, original terrain versus Variable) or quickly calculating the volume of materials using the Volume by Stockpile command.
Create Grid and Create Surface: from the filtered points, the user can generate a high-precision Digital Terrain Model, perform Smoothing operations, and generate Complete (Lines) with cartographic finish.
Finally, the results can be shared with third parties through the Project Publication on the interactive web viewer of the Platform.
