How is surface measurement performed?
In tcpGPS, surface measurement is an exclusive feature of the Professional version that is performed within the digital model management module.
To carry out these measurements, you must follow these steps:
Access the module: Go to Edit > Surfaces in the main menu.
Open the tools: Select the desired surface from the list and click the Surface Tools button (wrench icon). This will open a specific map screen to interact with the model.
Simple distance measurement:
Click the button with the ruler icon.
Select two points directly on the surface map.
The application will automatically calculate and display the distance between those points.
For these tools to work correctly, you must ensure that the surface you wish to measure is set as the active layer in the project's layer management by selecting the surface from the surface list.
