Storage: PCE Projects and Data Import

PCE projects that are actively being worked on should be stored on local drives in the machine running TCP PointCloud Editor, preferably on SSD or NVMe storage.

Projects and files to be imported should never be stored in synchronized folders such as Dropbox, OneDrive, or similar services, as the synchronization mechanisms used by these folders may lock files for reading and/or writing, causing file access errors within the application.

Network folders or network-attached storage solutions, such as NAS devices or remote folders, should also be avoided, since network latency or connectivity issues may likewise result in read or write errors.
