What is NTRIP?

Updated on tcpGPS Leer en español

The NTRIP protocol (acronym for Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol) is a standard used to transmit GNSS corrections, in real time, over the Internet.

In simple terms, it is a system that allows sending differential correction data from a reference station (base) to a mobile GNSS receiver (rover) using the Internet, instead of, for example, the typical UHF radio link.
