How can I export setting out points?

Updated on tcpGPS Leer en español

To export the setting out points in tcpGPS, you must access the main menu and follow the path Export > Setting out data. This function allows you to generate a file with the differences between the original points and the positions actually reached in the field.

The steps and available options are detailed below:

  1. Selection of file destination

  • Project folder: The file is saved in the device's internal memory, at the path Android/data/com.aplitop.tcpgps/files/projects/[nombre-proyecto]/stakeout. It is only accessible via USB cable connected to a computer.

  • User folder: Allows you to choose any location on the device except the base folder and Downloads through the Android File Explorer (SAF).

  1. Export configuration

Once the folder is selected, you can configure the following parameters on the export screen:

  • File Format: You can choose between CSV, GSI, DXF or DWG.

  • Separators (for CSV): Allows you to choose between blank space, comma, semicolon or tabulation.

  • Prefix: There is an option to add a custom prefix to the point numbers.

  • Level of detail:

    • Detailed data: Exports all setting out information.

    • Simple data: Includes only the point number, coordinates (X, Y, Z) and the code.

  1. Completion and sharing

  • After pressing the Export button, the application will confirm that the process has finished successfully.

  • A Share window will appear, allowing you to instantly send the generated file via email, messaging apps or cloud services.
