To EXPORT POINTS captured in tcpGPS, go to the main menu and select the option Export > Points. Once there, you can choose from various formats and configurations according to your needs.
The steps and available options are detailed below:
Supported export formats
The application allows exporting points in a wide variety of formats:
Standard formats: TXT, CSV, DXF, DWG, KML, KMZ (includes images), Shape (SHP), GML, GSI, INCRA, and TopStation.
MDT format: A special type that generates
.punand.gpsfiles along with images and audio, optimized for the office software TcpMDT.Custom Formats: Allows you to design your own profiles by choosing which attributes and data types you want to include in the final file.
Options and Modifiers
When performing the export, you can apply the following settings:
Point range: You can define a specific subset of points to export (for example, from point 10 to 50).
Coordinate transformation: There is an option to export the points by transforming them to a coordinate system different from that of the current project.
Format configuration:
In TXT and CSV, you can choose the separator (space, comma, semicolon, or tab).
In DXF and DWG, you can adjust the scale and size of the point texts.
In Shape, you can select which specific layers you want to export.
File Location and Sending
Project Folder: Files are saved internally on the device path and are only accessible via a USB cable connected to a PC.
User Folder: Allows you to choose any folder on the device or in Google Drive using the Android FILE EXPLORER (SAF).
Share: After finishing the export, the application will display a confirmation message with the Share button. By pressing it, you can send the file directly via email, WhatsApp, or other installed applications.
