How can I export raw data?
To export the RAW DATA (raw data) associated with the points taken during a Survey in tcpGPS, you must follow these steps:
Accessing the function
Go to the main menu of the application and select the path EXPORT > RAW DATA.
Export configuration
When selecting this option, you can configure the file destination:
Project folder: Files are saved in the internal memory of the Device, in a specific system path (
Android/data/com.aplitop.tcpgps/files/projects/[nombre projecto]/raw) usually accessible via USB connection to a computer.User folder: Allows you to choose any folder on the Device (or Google Drive) using the Android FILE EXPLORER (SAF).
Generated files
The program will export the information in .gps format, automatically generating two distinct files:
Basic file (e.g., "Project.gps"): Contains the basic observation data or the calculated average if the point was taken by epochs.
Detailed file (e.g., "Project_Details.gps"): Includes in detail each and every one of the observations made for each point.
Contained information
The exported files include valuable technical information for post-processing or quality control, such as:
Drawing Data: Coordinate system (SRC), datum transformations and local systems.
Point data: Standing Station name, geographic Coordinates (latitude, Length, WGS84 altitude), Floating height, position type (fixed, Tilt), Bluetooth status (horizontal, vertical, PDOP, HDOP, VDOP) and observation time.
Completion and use
Once the process is finished, the application will display a confirmation and give you the option to Share the files instantly via email, messaging or cloud services.
This .gps format is fully compatible with the office software TcpMDT.
