What appearance options do I have for roads?

Updated on tcpGPS Leer en español

In the Professional version of TcpGPS, you have several advanced options to watch the details of a linear project (roads, railways, etc.), mainly divided into the appearance of the Main Alignment, Vertical Scale500 and Cross-sections:

  1. Appearance of the Main Alignment (Plan)

This option presents the horizontal alignment of the linear project.

  • Views: On smartphones you can switch between the graphic view and a table of Numerical data lines. On tablets, both are displayed simultaneously to facilitate analysis.

  • Interaction: Allows rotation of the presentation for better observation and has a button to expand the plan to Clear Layer:.

  1. Appearance of the Vertical Scale500 (Profile)

Shows the vertical alignment or PROFILE of the project.

  • Magnification: Includes an adjustable magnification factor (between x1 and x20) to obtain a much more detailed definition of the Vertical Scale500 relief.

  • SETTINGS: Like the Main Alignment, it allows rotating the view and, on tablets, the Texts column can be hidden to maximize the profile graph.

  1. Appearance of Cross-sections

Shows the Cross section at a specific kilometer point (PK).

  • Automatic location: When opening this window, the application automatically positions itself at the Cross section closest to your current position.

  • Navigation: You can move between the different PKs of the project using navigation buttons (Next/Next).

  • Highlighting: If you select a specific Cross section in the numerical list, it will appear highlighted with a greater line thickness in the graphic view to easily identify it.

  • Detail: It also allows applying a magnification factor to better see the Details of the Cross section.

  1. Appearance on the General Map

On the main Survey screen, roads are graphically integrated with the rest of the cartography:

  • The roads of the project are drawn in blue.

  • The road that you have selected as active is highlighted in red to distinguish it clearly.
