A plot is not created from a very small polyline

Updated on tcpMDT Leer en español

Summary

When you try to create a plot from a polyline with very small dimensions, MDT does not create it. This is caused by a configuration parameter related to the area tolerance / minimum area. This article explains how to lower that limit so that the plot can be created.

Applies to

  • MDT 9, MDT 25 and MDT26. The documented case corresponds to MDT 9.

  • The MDT plot creation function from a CAD polyline.

Symptoms

  • A plot cannot be created from a polyline with very small dimensions (for example, the one required for a positive graphic validation at the Cadastre).

Cause

A configuration parameter related to the area tolerance / minimum area prevents plots below a certain size from being created.

Solution

Case: a plot cannot be created from a very small polyline

The creation of plots below a certain size is limited by a tolerance parameter. To lower that limit:

  1. On the command line, run the configuration command for your version: mdt9_conf_todo in MDT 9, mdt25_conf_todo in MDT 25 and mdt26_conf_todo in MDT26.

  2. Locate the parameter for the area tolerance / minimum area.

  3. Lower its value, for example to 0.005.

  4. Press Enter and then the OK button.

  5. After the change, the plot is created normally.

If the problem persists

  • If the plot is still not created after lowering the tolerance, or you are using a different version of MDT in which you cannot find the parameter, contact Aplitop technical support stating your version.
