Why does the plot report not include the buildings and appear split across several pages?
Summary
When generating the plot report with both plots and buildings selected, it is common to think that the result is incomplete: the buildings do not appear next to the plots, and the plot list is split across several pages. This is not an error. The plot report command lists plots only —paginating the result when many are selected—, whereas buildings and other constructions are listed with a different command. This article explains which command to use in each case.
Applies to
MDT — applies to MDT 25 and MDT 26.
Symptoms
When running the plot report or listing command and selecting several plots and buildings (for example, with a graphic window), the result looks incomplete.
Buildings or constructions do not appear in the same list as the plots.
The plot list is split across several pages, giving the impression that elements are missing or that only some of the selected plots are being listed.
Cause
This is not a program failure but the normal behaviour of the commands:
The plot report command lists plots only. When many are selected, it splits the result across several pages (sheets), which can give the false impression that only some are listed.
Buildings and other constructions are not included in that report: they are obtained with a different command.
Solution
Case: listing the selected plots
Run MDT25 > Plots > Plot Report.
Select the plots (for example, with a graphic window).
The report is paginated automatically across several sheets, but it includes all the selected plots. The split into pages does not mean that elements are missing.
Case: listing buildings or other constructions
Run MDT > Plots > Other Constructions > List, which is a different command from the plot report.
This command produces the list of the selected buildings and constructions.
A note on the "Plots Drawing" command
If you were using the MDT25_PARCELAS_DIBUJO command, note that it is discontinued and support recommends not using it. Its difference from MDT25 > Plots > List was that it produced a continuous listing of the plots instead of one split into sheets. For everyday work, use the commands given in the cases above.
If the problem persists
If after using the commands above a plot or construction you expected to see is still missing from the list, contact APLITOP technical support and attach the drawing with the selection used.
