How are swimming pools considered for export to the Land Registry?

Updated on tcpMDT Leer en español

In TcpMDT, swimming pools are considered a special type of enclosure within the Edit Building group, specifically designed to meet the information exchange requirements with the Land Registry.

The following details how they are managed for export:

  • Definition and Visualization: They are created from a closed polyline using the Dividing by Polyline command. By assigning this property, the software automatically applies a blue or light blue texture to visually differentiate them from the other elements in the cartography.

  • Attributes for GML: The main parameters that must be completed for correct export are the Name, the Reference (usually the Plot Reference of the plot containing it), and the Date. This data is integrated into the final GML file following official standards.

  • Export Process: When exporting to GML format for the Land Registry (INSPIRE standard), swimming pools are treated similarly to buildings. Therefore, the system generates a separate GML file for each swimming pool or construction selected, instead of grouping them into a single file as allowed for plots.

  • Geometry and Vertices: The program allows editing the vertices of the swimming pool and their coordinates; if the user modifies the polyline in the drawing, MDT automatically assumes the changes to ensure that the exported geometry is faithful to reality.
