Yes, it is perfectly possible to export a road with its pavement layers to BIM format, specifically using the IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) standard.

REQUIREMENTS for export
For the pavement layers to be included in the BIM model, it is necessary to work with a segment file (.SEG) that has the typical cross-section defined with its corresponding pavement layers. If the selected segment contains this information, MDT will automatically export them along with the alignment and the vertical profile.
Representation in the BIM model
3D Solids: In the BIM viewer, the pavement layers are represented as independent solids that faithfully reflect the geometry designed in MDT.
Technical information: Each layer retains the assigned Material name and its geometric definition.
Name and Metadata: Specific properties of the pavement layers are included, such as the Surface upper area and the Surface lower area.
Integration of Work Units
If the user has assigned Work Units to the pavement layers (from the pavement catalog or the cross-section definition), these are also exported as property sets (Property Sets) in the IFC file. This allows other project stakeholders to consult Measurements, prices, and budgets directly on the Elevations model.
Basic procedure
The process is performed from the BIM > EXPORT IFC menu. In the export dialog, the user must:
SELECT the desired IFC version (such as IFC4 or IFC4x3).
Add the corresponding segment file for the road.
Indicate the Offset (SRC) to correctly position the road in the BIM environment.
In addition to the pavement, the IFC export can also include other road elements such as vertical signage, Road marks (horizontal signage), and ditches with their linings.
