Can photographs be associated with points?

Updated on tcpMDT Leer en español

Yes, it is possible to associate photographs with points using hyperlinks. MDT points (entities native to the program) allow including additional attributes, among which is the special Hyperlink field, used to link to an external file, such as an image.

To manage these associations, the program offers the following tools:

  • Editing: From the Edit Points dialog, you can modify or manually open the link associated with each point.

  • Viewing: Using the Open Hyperlink command, the user can select a point in the drawing to open the associated photograph in the system's default application.

  • The Insert Photographs with Position command can read the EXIF location information from a group of images and automatically create points with hyperlinks at the corresponding coordinates.
