How can I edit images assigned to a point?
To edit the images assigned to a point in tcpGPS, you must access the graphic editing tool integrated into the application. This process allows you to add technical information directly onto the photograph or make manual drawings.
Accessing the image editor
Go to the Comment section. You can do this by selecting the point on the map and pressing the information button ("i" icon), or from the List of points in the Edit menu, selecting the desired point and pressing the Details button.
Once in the multimedia data tab (MEDIA), locate the image you wish to modify.
Press the Image Editing button (identified by an icon of a photograph and a pencil).
Available editing tools
Inside the editor, you will find a series of controls to customize the image:
Brush: Allows you to automatically insert project information onto the photo. You can choose to display the Date and time, the Coordinates (X, Y, Z), the code, Remarks, or up to four Name associated with the point.
Text: Opens a dialog box to write a custom message. After accepting it, you only need to press on the image at the exact location where you want the text to appear.
Brush: Allows you to make freehand drawings directly on the touchscreen to highlight elements in the photograph.
Settings: From here you can MODIFY the color and size of both the texts and the brush stroke.
Change management
Move and UNDO: You can move the last added element or delete it if you made a mistake.
Reset: Removes all added graphic elements at once, returning the image to its original state.
Save: It is essential to press this button to store the graphic changes made to the photograph.
As an additional note, photos taken with the application automatically save the latitude and longitude in the EXIF header of the file, which facilitates their subsequent integration into office software such as TcpMDT.
