Draw breakline by point range
Draws a 3D polyline in CAD connecting the points whose number falls within the specified range (endpoints inclusive), in ascending order. Point numbers that do not exist within the range are skipped automatically. The operation can be undone with Ctrl+Z.
Prerequisites: The MDT plugin must be loaded and at least two points with numbers within the specified range must exist.
Parameters
Parameter | Type | Required | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| integer | Yes | — | Number of the first point in the range (inclusive). |
| integer | Yes | — | Number of the last point in the range (inclusive). Must be ≥ |
| text | No |
| CAD layer where the polyline will be created. |
| integer (1–256) | No | 256 (by layer) | ACI color of the polyline. |
Result
A 3D polyline created on the specified layer. The assistant returns the number of vertices and the _handle_ of the created CAD entity.
Tip: Ideal when you know the exact range of point numbers that form an alignment (for example, a series of levelling points taken consecutively). To connect points by code, use Draw breakline by code.
Example prompts
You can ask the assistant things like:
Draw a breakline with points 100 to 150
Connect points 201 to 350 on layer PERFIL
Create a 3D polyline with points 500 to 600 and set it to yellow
Draw the polyline of points 1 to 50
