Split a plot into parallel strips

Updated on tcpMDT Leer en español

Splits a plot in the active drawing into strips using lines parallel to the side defined by two of its vertices. Supports three split modes.

Prerequisites: The plot must exist. Use edit_plot to see the available vertex indices (the first vertex is 1) before defining the reference side.

Parameters

Parameter

Type

Required

Description

name

text

Yes

Exact name of the plot to split.

vertex1

integer

Yes

Number of the first vertex of the reference side (the first vertex of the plot is 1).

vertex2

integer

Yes

Number of the second vertex of the reference side.

mode

text

Yes

Split mode: parcelas (N equal strips), area (by target area) or distancia (by strip width).

count

integer

Conditional

Number of equal strips to create. Required if mode=parcelas.

target_area

number

Conditional

Target area of each strip in m². Required if mode=area.

distance

number

Conditional

Width of each strip in metres. Required if mode=distancia.

Result

Object with the following fields:

  • num_created: number of sub-plots created.

  • original_name: name of the original plot.

  • original_area: area in m² of the original plot.

  • mode: split mode applied.

Example prompts

You can ask the assistant things like:

  • Split plot PCL-001 into 4 equal strips parallel to the side between vertices 1 and 2

  • Divide plot A into strips of 500 m² each

  • Split plot 3 into 20-metre-wide strips parallel to its north side
