tcpMDT

Query drawing points

Updated on tcpMDT Leer en español

Queries the MDT surveying points in the active CAD drawing and returns for each point its number, X, Y, Z coordinates and field code. All filters are optional: if none are specified, all points are returned.

Prerequisites: The MDT plugin must be loaded in AutoCAD/ZWCAD and there must be an active drawing with MDT points. If the module is not loaded, first run a points command from the MDT menu (for example, _Points > List_).

Parameters

Parameter

Type

Required

Default

Description

code

text

No

—

Exact MDT code (case-sensitive). Returns only points with that code. Use List codes to see the available ones.

minZ

number

No

—

Filter by minimum elevation. Returns only points with Z ≥ this value (metres).

maxZ

number

No

—

Filter by maximum elevation. Returns only points with Z ≤ this value (metres).

Result

List of points in JSON format. Each point includes: id (point number), x, y, z (coordinates in metres) and code (MDT code). If no points match the filters, an empty list is returned.

Tip: First use List drawing codes to find out which codes exist before filtering. In drawings with many points, always apply at least one filter to limit the response.

Example prompts

You can ask the assistant things like:

  • How many points are in the drawing?

  • Show me all the points with code TN

  • List the points with an elevation between 450 and 500 metres

  • Which points have code CARRETERA?

  • I want to see the points above elevation 600

  • Give me the points with code CUNETA between elevation 200 and 250

  • What is the highest point in the drawing?
