Road. Introduction - MDT26

Updated on tcpMDT Leer en español

Introduction

The segment commands are directly related to the road definitions.

By segment, we understand a file that represents the roadway, and which will contain all the elements necessary for defining it, meaning, horizontal alignments, slopes, grade lines, cross-sections, sections, superelevations, etc.

Additionally, a series of tools is available to facilitate editing, revision and visualization.

All the commands in this menu group correspond to the professional MDT model.

Any MDT tool that works with Segments will, at the time of segment selection, automatically create a subfolder in the segment location if the linked files are not found. This subfolder will contain all files associated with the selected segment. Its structure will be similar to the one shown in the following image.

NOTE: If an existing segment from a previous version is selected, the software will display a warning message and request that the new segment be saved under a different name. By default, it proposes the name of the selected segment with the suffix 26 appended.

A new segment compatible with the current version will then be created, along with a folder in the same location as the original segment, where all files linked to the selected segment will be stored.
